First Copies Arrive

Posted by sallyhinchcliffe on April 13, 2008

Yesterday after a saga involving a missing postman, a special delivery, and a damaged package, the first copies of OUT OF A CLEAR SKY arrived at my door, and they look fabulous. Macmillan have done the book proud – hardback, laminated matt dust jacket, foil titles and a haunting cover design.

I find it hard to believe they are really here – and in less than a month they’ll be in the shops as well.

Congratulations, it’s a thrilling experience. I’ll order my copy in the week.

I’ve ordered a copy for myself and a few for the bookshop, one of which I’ll display prominently in the window.
I’m looking forward to reading it, and will do a review entry on my blog as well. xx

Brennig & Flighty – thanks, it’s good to know there will be at least some copies sold!

Steve – sadly, there won’t be one, or at least not a physical one. The nearest thing will be this

Watch this space for my virtual book tour though!

I got my copies yesterday. One for me, and two for the shop one of which is in the window and the other on the shelf directly in front of you as you walk in the door.
I shall settle down this evening to start reading it!

    Oooh…

You couldn’t send me a picture of it in the window could you? If it wouldn’t blow your incognito?

I should be able to do that! It’ll be towards the end of the week.
