No, I’m not looking for him, but it’s the name of Caroline Smailes’s blog, where she’s hosted another stop on my tour. She’s interviewed me about the process of getting published, finding an agent, and how I started off as a writer. Please stop by and have a read.
And I’m going on real tour – well sort of – tomorrow. Down to London for writLOUD tomorrow, and Heffer’s Bookshop in Cambridge on Tuesday to meet their book group.

Not mine, of course, but the title of Kay Sexton’s blog where you can read an interview with me, along with many other lovely posts of a mostly literary nature.

I’m off on a virtual tour of the blogosphere, or at least those bits of it kind enough to host me and my book for a few days. First up is the lovely Mr Moobs, who has written a cheek-flushingly kind review here. Next will be Kay Sexton at Writing Neuroses, tomorrow, and the full tour is as follows:
Moobs
Writing Neuroses
Caroline Smailes
Maniacmum
Roger’s Plog
The Man Who Fell Asleep
Down by the River
My Boyfriend is a Twat
Please check them out, as they are all fine writers in their own right, not to mention exceedingly nice and helpful people.
Watch this space for updates of dates and links to the entries themselves

A friend has directed me to this – scroll down about half way
…an intelligent novel about a woman in a man’s world…
I like.

Well, actually it wasn’t too difficult as Flighty found these at the bookshop he worked in, having ordered them and placed them there himself. But it’s nice to see it facing out on the shelves:

And even nicer to see it in the window:

Thanks Flightbuff! (I think he chose the other book in the window as well, don’t you?)

Well, as of today, my book is out in the UK. Indications from friends are that Amazon started sending it out a little early, but this is the official publication date. Unfortunately, it’s also the week I chose to move up to Scotland and I am without email or even a phone line, and miles from the nearest bookshop.
I haven’t yet seen any copies of OUT OF A CLEAR SKY on the shelves of a bookshop yet – any sightings gratefully received…

Yesterday after a saga involving a missing postman, a special delivery, and a damaged package, the first copies of OUT OF A CLEAR SKY arrived at my door, and they look fabulous. Macmillan have done the book proud – hardback, laminated matt dust jacket, foil titles and a haunting cover design.
I find it hard to believe they are really here – and in less than a month they’ll be in the shops as well.

A date for your diaries: I will be reading from my novel Out of a Clear Sky at writLOUD, a monthly event showcasing writing from Birkbeck writers and established authors – I suppose I am making the transition from one to the other…
More details to follow.
